A short and very easy loop hike through an evocative beech forest. Along the trail, we will read the prints left in the book of Nature by animals such as deer, foxes, hares – and even bears and wolves.
Picnic and mindful practice along the hike. Back to Pensione my mid-afternoon to rest.
Dinner together at Ristorante Il Picchio.
Optional Meditation practice together.
Day 3: Sunday, 18 June 2017
Breakfast at Delizia degli Elfi pastry shop.
Hike (& Mindfulness): At the foot of the Marsican Giant
This nonchallenging hike will allow us to be amazed by the unique view enjoyed from the Pescasseroli hills, embracing all the highest summits in the Park. From the foot of the Giant, the landscape will be breath-taking.
We expect to be back by lunchtime and will offer a taste of local products.
Goodbyes 🙂
Our GUIDE will be Tiziano Testa, a certified ‘Accompagnatore di Media Montagna’ (AMM, literally, a ‘Moderate Altitude Mountain Leader’…or simply a Mountain Leader!).
Tiziano has decided to live and work in Pescasseroli (within the provincia of l’Aquila), the historic headquarters of the Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise. His goal is to help visitors familiarise with the territory and explore this region ‘at a slow pace’.
As a Mountain Leader, he is able to guarantee top safety during the walk and eager to point out the beauties offered along the trail and to share the cultural and environmental heritage of the area.
